College recruiters return to the “road” in the Spring. During this time representatives visit the high schools and participate in college fairs throughout the county.
College fairs and college representative visits to area schools are great opportunities for high school students and families to learn about individual colleges and speak with their representatives. College fair programs are typically limited to three hours. No matter how long you plan to stay, it is important to take advantage and make the most of these programs. Making the Most of the College Fair workshop conducted by Susan Weatherly of Steps To College will be held on Monday, February 5 from 7 pm – 8 pm in the Community Room at the Gardiner Library. This hour long program will provide attendees with tips and strategies to maximize their visit to a College Fair. The workshop is free and open to the public.
“Having attended over 100 college fairs throughout my career in college admissions and recruitment, I am excited to share what college recruiters are looking for and provide techniques that both students and their families can use at a college fair. My goal is to help reduce the stress involved in the college search,” says Susan Weatherly, owner of Steps To College.
